Gathering Phase

The information gathering phase of our consulting program is arguably the most important phase. At GPS (Gladwell Practice Solutions), we understand that the time spent in this phase typically saves us 3X the amount of time as we move forward in the consulting process. Spending time to get to know the office background and history, key players, and prior performance will help us formulate an efficient plan that maximizes our short-term and long-term results.

Every practice has a unique practice management strategy. The strategy is typically different for single offices versus group practices, and different for privately owned locations versus private equity backed groups. An organizational chart is very important to understand where our points of management and accountability will fall throughout the process. As important as it is to understand who will help us implement change, and hold our team accountable, it is also important to understand who may be less than thrilled for change within the office. Identifying those personnel early can again help prevent problems throughout the year.

After our team finishes the information gathering phase, we move into the implementation phase of the program. Through the information gathering phase, we will have identified who our key personnel are going to be moving forward. We start the implementation phase with a meeting to explain our findings, our strategy, set expectations and most importantly a chart of accountability. From there we will plan our our schedule of communication and trainings.

Five Universal Trainings

These very important 5 trainings will be the core of what we work on all year, and will prove to be the backbone to our programs success within your practice. They will be a mix of in-person, as well as virtual conversations and trainings. Although these will be our core focus for the year, as other problem areas are observed, we will make adjustments to add trainings and corrections to prevent those issues from derailing our progress. Each practice is different and our program is a fluid program that can adjust for individual differences and unique situations.
